In 1916 the smartest artsy people of the planet gathered in a small café in Zurich, Switzerland.
They knew they lived in times of increasingly aggressive global economies, patriotic social hysteria and militant nationalism. And they knew they couldn't do anything about the religious rationalism of nation, money and war. Thus, they invented DADA.
The Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich (page is only german language) now celebrates the DADA birthday from February, 2nd to July 18th 2016, including Soirées, performances and the exhibition "Obsession DADA" from Feb. 2nd to May, 15th 2016.
