Most of the images I use here are my own. From time to time I’ll convert my favourite shots into wallpaper size so vsitors can use them as desktop backgrounds. They are free for personal use. Any commercial use is not allowed.
Other image materials I use will be shown with credits, source and/or links – if I have them. I’m downloading a lot images on wallpaper sites and such and most of them are not referenced to any artist, photographer, etc. … . In case you find a copyrighted image you want to be removed from this blog just leave a comment in that post or drop me a mail.
For several other reasons and because I just liked the name I called it The Elephant Island. It is not much related to the real Elephant Island near Antarctica, so if you are an adventure traveller, a penguin scientist or a school kid googling for the Shackleton expedition, wikipedia would be a much better place for information.
